UNBELIEVEABLE!!
April 27, 2008Okay, so I go shopping today and am trying on some capri sweats. Now, I take a medium, and they are usually a bit big. I try on these mediums, and holy jumpin!! couldn't get them past my hips!!! So, I tried a large.......no dice. I go to an x-large, and they are still quite snug!!
Now, here's what I think. In today's society, size means more that it should. Young girls today are so concerned about their weight and waist size. It's no wonder!! You go into a place like I was in today, try on what you know to be your size, and they don't fit! This is how and why we have so many young girls going on crash diets and risking their health.
We have to teach the children that it doesn't matter how big or small they are, it's what's inside that counts. Sizes and numbers shouldn't have such an enormous impact on our youth.
I know this has nothing to do with Dog or the family, but I just had to vent. Thank you all for listening!!
